"What You Put In is What You Get Out”
Coach Bill was born in Nebraska in 1965.
He became interested in swimming at the age of 11, and swam
through Junior High and High School for the Boise Swim Team in
Idaho. He then attended school at the University of
Oregon, where he also swam competitively and earned a Bachelors
Degree in Economics. Coach Bill has been a swim coach
since 1989, beginning his career with the King Aquatic Club in
Federal Way, Washington. He then coached high school and
club teams in Portland, Oregon, and Seattle, Washington. Next he
served as Head Coach of the Lobo Athletic Club in Albuquerque,
New Mexico. Under Coach Bill’s program, Lobo won 3 State
Championships and produced 16 top swimmers as well as
state record holders, and junior national and senior
national qualifiers over 4 ½ years. Coach
Christensen was recruited to be Head Coach of the North Texas Nadadores in May of 2002. Coach Bill is an American Swim Coaches
Association (ASCA) Level 4 Coach. He has high expectations for our
swimmers and would like to see a Nadadore swimmer on the United
States Olympic Swim Team in the near future. Coach Bill’s
philosophy is to “treat others as you would like to be treated”.
Coach Bill is responsible for all aspects of the Nadadore swim
program. |

“Perfect practice makes perfect”
Coach Heather was born in Texas in 1971. She became interested
in swimming at the young age of four. When she was ten, Heather
began swimming competitively for ATEX in Houston. She graduated
from Klein High School in 1989 and attended college at the
University of Houston, where she swam on their swim team, and
received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1994. Coach Heather
has been a coach since 1995, coaching for North Texas Athletic
Club (NTAC) and Irving Swimmers. Coach Heather holds an ASCA
Level 3 Certification and is currently working on the Level 4
Coaching Certification. |

“Developing Future Nadadores”
Coach Sarah has five years of coaching
experience. Before joining the CISD Staff, Coach Sarah coached
at North Texas Athletic Club (NTAC) and Irving Swimmers and
various summer leagues. Coach Sarah began swimming at age five
and swam competitively through her college years at Hendrix
College. Coach Sarah holds a degree in the Classics from the
University of Dallas. She is working on her ASCA Level 3
Certification. |

“Each Program Will Meet the
Developmental Needs of Each Athlete”
gh directs the program and staff
of the Carroll Independent School District (CISD) Aquatics
Center. John was hired by CISD to open the facility in October
of 2000. Before coming to CISD, he served as Senior
Coach for Alamo Area Aquatics in San Antonio, Texas. Prior
to that, John coached two years for Florida Aquatics at the
University of Florida. He has also served as Age Group
Coach for the Indian Aquatic Club in Monroe, Louisiana, Graduate
Assistant at Auburn University, Senior Team Coach for the
Greater Auburn Swim Program, and Head
Coach for the Fort Smith Tideriders in
Arkansas. McGough holds an ASCA Level 5 Coaching
Certification. John is a graduate of Auburn University, with a
Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology. John swam for the University of Louisiana at Monroe (previously Northeast LA
University). His goal for the Aquatics Center is for each program
to meet the developmental needs of all of participants, thus
insuring that the athlete becomes the best he or she can be. |
